摘要: Summary The rise of transition-metal dichalcogenide (TMD) materials has enormous implications for the scientific community and beyond. Among TMDs, ReS2 received significant attention regarding its extraordinary properties in all fields during past 5 years. Most notably, weak interlayer coupling feature enables bulk to behave as electronically vibrationally decoupled monolayers, leading an obvious layer-independent character various properties. Because extremely coupling, it renders be well utilized without precise control layer numbers. Here, from perspective recent advances emerging applications ReS2, including rechargeable batteries, catalytic reactions, stimuli-responsive devices, other applications, are discussed detail. We conclude by discussing novel insights into weakly coupled analyze possible future orientations exploration unusual applications.
