Self-assembly of amphiphilic peanut-shaped nanoparticles

摘要: We use computer simulation to investigate the self-assembly of Janus-like amphiphilic peanut-shaped nanoparticles, finding phases clusters, bilayers, and micelles in accord with ideas packing familiar from study molecular surfactants. However, arguments do not explain hierarchical dynamics that we observe, nor coexistence bilayers faceted polyhedra. This suggests experimental realizations our model can achieve multipotent assembly either two competing ordered structures.
