摘要: Concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs) have become a prevalent form of intensive production. They are that confine livestock for more than 45 days, in an area does not produce vegetation, and meets size thresholds. CAFOs can considerable impacts on the environment because greater stocking density is directly associated with increased feed manure production per unit area. Resulting nutrient flows cause pollution to air, soil, water. Pollutants focus both air quality regulations public policy discussions. This article reviews primary pollutants CAFOs.
