摘要: Trans-splicing is a recently discovered phenomenon defined as the splicing together of two discrete RNA molecules to give single hybrid product. There are distinct types physiological trans-splicing. The first found in organelles eukaryotes. Very little known mechanism or machinery involved this process but so far it bears resemblance cis-splicing nuclear-encoded mRNAs (in terms sequences involved). second occurs nucleus eukaryotic cells and clearly related well-studied occurring on spliceosomes these nuclei. “Nuclear” trans-splicing will be major focus review. In it, I attempt cover structures involved, well possible mechanism, function evolutionary significance unusual important process.
