摘要: While the real world provides humans with a huge variety of sensory stimuli, virtual worlds most all communicate their properties by visual and auditory feedback due to design current head mounted displays (HMDs). Since HMDs offer sufficient contact area integrate additional actuators, prior works utilised limited amount haptic actuators respective information about world. With Face/On prototype complex patterns are introduced that combine high number vibration motors thermal sources transport multi-modal spatial information. A pre-study determining boundaries feedbacks' intensities as well user study showing significant increase presence enjoyment validate Face/On's approach.
