摘要: Mediterranean spotted fever is a group rickettsiosis caused by Rickettsia conorii. The has recognized incidence in large geographic areas, and its presence Salamanca Province (Spain) been well documented since 1981. This work presents the results of centralized prospective survey carried out this area was designed to study epidemiological behavior disease prevalence antibodies against R. conorii among animals healthy human population. In 110 patients with confirmed diagnosis an immunofluorescent antibody test we have observed bimodal temporal curve our zone their predominant origin villages under 2000 inhabitants. serosurvey statistically representative sample population shows rate 73.5% reactive sera percentages as high 82% samples from small villages. seroepidemiological 300 reveals widespread response rickettsial antigens throughout province. Immunofluorescent titers greater than or equal 1:40 are present 93% dogs rates detected other domestic mammals, suggesting feasible role fever.
