摘要: Telemedicine technologies and services allow today's ophthalmic clinicians to remotely diagnose, manage monitor several conditions from a distance. But is this the case for glaucomas? There has been proliferation of telemedicine friendly devices in recent years that improves capabilities clinician managing glaucomas. The existing instruments still need align themselves with accepted industry standards. are successful programmes running areas world. safety efficacy these needs further exploration. inability single device or test diagnose glaucomas satisfactorily also hampered progress diagnosing conditions. is, however, significant potential telemedicine-friendly glaucoma and, thereby, reduce some workload on an overstretched health service.
