Aluminium oxide coated tool

摘要: There is provided a tool at least partly coated with two refractory layers of which one the said fine-grained α-Al 2 O 3 -layer top layer along cutting edge-line and other TiC x N y z - or ZrC being on clearance face. The exhibits excellent flank crater wear high resistance to flaking, particularly when used for machining low carbon steel stainless steel. Used edges can easily be identified by naked eye.
