摘要: We study the chaotic dynamics of Pierce diode, a simple spatially extended system for collisionless bounded plasmas, focusing on concept edge chaos, boundary that separates transient from asymptotic dynamics. fully characterize an interior crisis at end periodic window, thereby showing direct evidence collision between attractor, saddle, and formed by period-3 unstable orbit its stable manifold. The chaos persists after crisis, when global attractor increases size in phase space.
