摘要: The PPAR-gamma (PPAR-γ) activating thiazolidinedione (TZD) medications are a class of drugs used to improve lipid and glucose metabolism in type-2 diabetes. In addition their known insulin sensitization action, these have been shown suppress tumor development several vitro vivo models. Among the proposed mechanisms for anti-tumor effects TZDs, apoptosis induction, cell cycle arrest, differentiation extensively reported. Interestingly, some observed independent PPAR-γ activation. following review will discuss studies employing TZDs as anti-cancer therapies most common types cancers including, lung, breast, colon explore principal PPAR-γ-dependent -independent by which exert effects.
