摘要: Abstract Serology is used to predict vaccine induced protection against challenge with a heterologous strain of the same serotype foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV). To evaluate accuracy such predictions, we compared afforded cattle vaccinated O 1 Manisa FMDV either homologous (O Manisa) or Campos). by neutralization test (VNT) using antiserum predicted an acceptable challenge. Two experiments were carried out compare results for consistency. A total 78 naive different antigen payloads (60–0.94 μg) Manisa. They challenged intradermolingual inoculation live FMDV, Campos. Unvaccinated control ( n  = 20) also Campos viruses and all developed generalized FMD. The revealed that higher needed protect 50% protective dose (PD 50 ) values in 2 found be 28.78 9.44 3.98 5.01 Furthermore, required level vaccine-induced antibody this neutralizing associated vitro was log 10  1.827  0.954 based on test.
