Review on lateral stress measurements with piezoresistive gauges

摘要: The use of piezoresistance stress gauges to measure longitudinal and lateral stresses behind the shock front has become very popular in last two decades. While gauge calibrations were achieved with help other techniques, results could not be compared tests, resulting some controversies between different workers. In present review we show that these have actually a small effect on handling calibration procedures for gauge. Some important applications are also reviewed discussed.
