摘要: The nonlinear Schrodinger (NLS) equation that gives an account of 'temporal' envelope soliton propagation in magnetic thin films is derived, using the rigorous asymptotic method multiscale expansions. Magnetostatic backward volume waves are considered and inhomogeneous exchange neglected. New mathematical features concerning expansions found: both a propagating second harmonic term usual non-propagating one arise. secular-type terms arise transverse direction no longer forbidden. dispersion coefficient obtained NLS not equal to so-called group velocity dispersion, despite being general law bulk media. quite good agreement with result previous computations for physically relevant values parameters.
