摘要: The freshwater budget of the Arctic as a whole can be stated quite simply as: inflows minus outflows equals net change within region. If region is defined to include all ice-covered seas, then growth and melt sea ice an internal term that has no effect. This illustrated schematically for ice-ocean system in Figure 1 where Ocean balanced by Greenland-IcelandNorwegian (GIN) Seas.
