摘要: Abstract This research paper reports the feasibility of utilizing zeolite-Y incorporated hydrogel composite (ZHC) gum karaya (GK) as a potential adsorbent to treat cationic dyes contaminated wastewater. Initially, crosslinked GK with N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) and acrylic acid (AA) was synthesized via grafting subsequently particle were homogeneously dispersed thought-out polymer matrix. Changes in property profile parental after incorporating studied using SEM, X-ray diffraction, FTIR TEM techniques. For dye adsorption studies, brilliant green (BG) taken target pollutant. Adsorption isotherm followed Langmuir model 1461.35 mg/g capacity kinetics most appropriately explained pseudo-second-order model. Diffusion molecules into internal structure ZHC governed collectively by intraparticle liquid film diffusion mechanisms. Furthermore, regenerated applied six times repeatedly adsorb without much alteration performance.
