Barriers to climate change adaptation: Qualitative evidence from southwestern Iran

摘要: Abstract To minimize the negative impacts of climate change, adaptation is key. There are, however, a range factors that, unless recognized and dealt with effectively, can prevent or disrupt efforts by farmers. Barriers to change in Iran, their characteristics, are under-researched. The data required for this research were obtained from series focus group discussions (n = 50) semi-structured interviews key informants (n = 50). Our results explored categorized numerous responses adaptation, as social cultural, economic, technological, informational, market-based. It important note reality, margins between classifications much subtler than many typologies indicate. Based on study's findings, appropriate policy recommended.
