摘要: This research paper is set within the context of grade twelve biology class in Grande Cache Community High School, located Canadian province Alberta. Many students lack adequate reading strategies to learn content from expository texts. A series short stories about science, written narrative form, was developed by teacher. The question posed was: What effect science narratives on retention and interest Biology 30? Average low achieving showed significant gains exam performance, 10.9% 13.9% increase respectively, all cohorts indicated an as determined surveys, smallgroup interviews analysis engagement during regular instruction using narratives.
