摘要: Abstract The suspension of nanoparticles into transitional heat-transfer media could be an alternative to conventional fluids. present work experimentally investigates the boiling characteristics ethylene glycol (EG) and water (H2O) mixture based SiO2 nanofluid under realistic conditions. An EG aqueous solution with a volume fraction 60% was used as base fluid owing its perfect freeze-proofing performance. Stable nanofluids were formulated through magnetic stirring ultrasonic treatment effect nanoparticle size concentration on considered. results show that coefficient (HTC) increased when decreasing diameter from 120 nm 84 nm. In addition, increase concentration, HTC first rapidly then exhibited negative growth in range 0.25–1.00%. Moreover, deteriorated for fractions above 0.75%. Based experimental results, probable mechanism heat transfer caused by coating is qualitatively analyzed.
