摘要: In this paper, we examine the performance of several modulation formats in more than four dimensions for coherent optical communications systems. We compare two high-dimensional design methodologies based on spherical cutting lattices and block coding a ‘base constellation’ binary phase shift keying (BPSK) each dimension. The performances generated with these is analyzed asymptotic signal-to-noise ratio regime an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel. then study application both types to standard single-mode fiber (SSMF) transmission For spectral efficiencies comparable dual-polarization (DP-) BPSK, polarization-switched quaternary (PS-QPSK) DP-QPSK, demonstrate SNR gains up 3 dB, 0.9 dB 1 respectively, at BER 10−3.
