摘要: Implanted catheters are locked with a solution comprising lower alcohol, typically ethanol, propanol, or butanol, in range from 1% to 99% by volume, and an additive the anti-microbial, taurolidine triclosan, anti-coagulant, riboflavin, sodium citrate, ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid, citric acid. The use of alcohol can effectively reduce fouling catheter, particularly clotting thrombus intravascular catheters, as well eradicate existing infections and/or risk potential infections. Existing be further reduced employing catheter body which permits anti-microbial penetrate into preferably through tissue surrounding implanted catheter.
