摘要: Objectives: To examine patterns of dental service utilization for adult Medicaid enrollees in Wisconsin following nontraumatic condition (NTDC) visits to the emergency department (ED). Methods: This is a retrospective, observational study claims NTDC ED and encounters from Evaluation Decision Support database (2001-2009). We used competing risk models predict probabilities returning versus obtaining follow-up care dentist. Results: observed 43 percent increase rate ED, with most this occurring 2001 2005. Within 30 days an visit ∼29.6 will first dentist office, while ∼9.9 return ED. Young middle-aged adults (18 <50 years) living counties lower supply providers were more likely visit. Among that visited office visit, 37.6 had extraction performed at visit.
