摘要: Coastal erosion and land loss resulting from complex natural processes (e.g. storms, sea-level rise, sediment starvation) man-made alterations dams, dredging, structures), often with unintended consequences, are pervasive for all coastal regions of the United States, as well much world. Development in zone continues to increase demographic projections show these trends will continue, placing more people development at risk. With prospects future climate change causing increased storminess accelerating global likely experience erosion, inundation, storm-surge flooding decades.
