摘要: Two fundamental (and oftentimes opposing) metaphors have directed much of HCI design: is communication and direct manipulation. Beneath these metaphors, however, the unspoken metaphor computer woman. In this paper we expose foundational metaphor. We begin by identifying origin woman in early history computing. Drawing upon postmodern feminist theory, then explore how has resulted feminization second person interfaces. show images femininity proliferate, becoming projected male fantasies ideals womanhood. idealized images, interface revealed as man female drag. Finally, not only do undress to uncover wraps computer's difference from human being within more basic woman, but also disclose dangers that can arise when goes unacknowledged unexamined.
