摘要: Since the beginning of pandemic, few papers describe placenta's morphological and morphometrical features in SARS-CoV-2 positive pregnant women. Alterations such as low placental weight, accelerated villous maturation, decidual vasculopathy, infarcts, thrombosis fetal vessels, chronic histiocytic intervillositis (CHI) have been described. Objective: To analyze clinical data morphometric changes women infected with (COVID-19 group) comparison placentas non-infected women, matched for maternal age comorbidities, besides gestational delivery (Control group). Method: The patients COVID-19 Control group were age, comorbidities. analysis was performed using Amsterdam Placental Workshop Group Consensus Statement. quantitative evaluation included perimeter, diameter, number tertiary villi, sprouts knots, deposition fibrin, intra-villous collagen I III by Sirius Red. Additionally, Hofbauer cells (HC) counted within villi immunohistochemistry CD68 marker. Results: Compared to controls, symptomatic more likely at least one comorbidity, evolve preterm labor infant death, RNA testing their concepts. show vascular malperfusion. In group, CHI. No significant results found after analysis. Conclusion: Pregnant infection, particularly severe course, are exhibit an adverse outcome, slightly frequent histopathologic findings malperfusion, do not seem be different from those observed far comorbidities paired. Only fibrin could accentuated (p = 0.08 borderline). HC/villous evaluated did a difference between both groups.
