摘要: Publisher Summary Many disciplines have contributed to the current perspectives on basic mechanisms of cell cycle control. Genetic and biochemical analyses cells in organisms ranging from yeast humans revealed that a conserved protein serine–threonine kinase activity causes eukaryotic enter M phase. This chapter discusses control eukaryotes adaptation these during development female germ cell. The role p34cdc2during developmentally expressed transitions mammalian oogenesis is discussed with reference mouse and, where possible, pertinent studies other species. Oogenesis can be viewed as developmental continuum punctuated by precisely regulated meiotic cycle. These transitions, involving transcriptional translational control, must executed temporally coordinated manner. entails rapid transcription accumulation products for use growth differentiation well subsequent embryonic development.
