摘要: This contribution deals with the benefits and challenges of 3-stage DC/DC converters in SMPS applications. They are compared to state art 2-stage for high power highest efficiency supplies focusing on server, telecom AC/DC battery charger applications as a major market advanced system solutions. The main difference between conventional topology is existence an extra stage assume output regulation from stage. publication points out advantages, problems limits current-fed pre-regulated topologies considering demands. Further comparison different approaches voltage-fed post-regulated presented. paper also reconsiders optimal operation frequency regarding passive components resonant mode converter used circuit. All presented results extracted calculations, simulations or practical measurements basis 800 W demonstrators 12 V output.
