摘要: Tarnishing is a process taking place in silver surface causing corrosion. This due to the presence atmosphere, even small amounts, of reactive species like water, sulphidric acid and carbonyl sulphide which can be physisorbed onto thus reacting with it. We propose use alkylphosphates protect against corrosion: polar head group should interact formation thin film opportunely oriented surfactant molecules. would shield from attack agents present atmosphere adsorption humidity water helped by scarce hydrophilicity. The joint Raman XPS experiments showed protective action exerted dibutylphosphate or bis (2-etylhexyl) phosphate according different sulphidizing conditions. Our discovery deserves tailored cultural heritage where artefacts are generally precious inimitable objects, but also modern microelectronics joints conductors used.
