Anomalous left ventricular band: An unemphasized cause of a precordial musical murmur

摘要: Abstract The pertinent clinical and necropsy features are described in an elderly man who had a loud precordial murmur when he was severe cardiac decompensation. With restoration of compensation the disappeared heart became smaller. At necropsy, fibrous cord found left ventricle, stretching from septum to free wall. It is suggested that result this band's being stretched taut ventricular cavity dilated. When chamber returned normal size, anomalous band lax disappeared. Other reports describing bands briefly reviewed.
