摘要: The absolute adsorption isotherms are necessary to correctly evaluate the selectivity of adsorbent material or design processes at high pressure (e.g., H2 purification from syngas processes, removal acid gas natural gas,…). aim this work is thus propose an easy method correct buoyancy effect bulk phase on adsorbed volume during both pure and mixtures for pressures up 10 MPa. potential theory Dubinin–Radushkevich relation adapted by introducing mixing parameters based simple Berthelot rules. concept internal used characterize also mixtures. then improved a commercial activated carbon (AC), when adsorbing H2S CH4, their 5 MPa. study points out importance carefully consider volume. Its impact could affect performances PSA TSA processes. For example, only considering excess data leads apparent 13 % greater than one concentration 6 ppm in CH4 matrix 5 MPa (298 K) AC.
