摘要: ABSTRACT : The conservation status of an endemic perennial herb, Hanabusaya asiatica (Nakai) Nakai (Cam-panulaceae) was determined by applying the IUCN risk assessment criteria from our field study and availablespecimen data. Also, GIS technology used to develop a species distribution map calculate extentof occurrence (EOO) area occupancy (AOO) for taxon. After two years continuous studies,269 mature individuals were found in four localities 2011, while 216 confirmed inthree 2012. Based on following data, such as EOO (2,742 km 2 ), AOO (76 ) estimatedpopulation size individuals, taxon, which is known 20 Korean peninsula, eval-uated category Endangered (EN). A major difficulty application rareplants lack essential biological information understanding correct knowledge IUCNcriteria previous studies. Sound conclusions regarding individual speciesrequire more intensive population studies, observations, procedures correctly.
