Silver-coated LiVPO4F composite with improved electrochemical performance as cathode material for lithium-ion batteries

摘要: Abstract Nano-structured LiVPO 4 F/Ag composite cathode material has been successfully synthesized via a sol–gel route. The structural and physical properties, as well the electrochemical performance of are compared with those pristine F. X-ray diffraction (XRD) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) reveal that Ag particles uniformly dispersed on surface F without destroying crystal structure bulk material. An analysis measurements show Ag-modified exhibits high discharge capacity, good cycle (108.5 mAh g −1 after 50th cycles at 0.1 C, 93% initial capacity) excellent rate behavior (81.8 mAh g for capacity 5 C). impedance spectroscopy (EIS) results adding decreases charge-transfer resistance ( R ct ) cathode. This study demonstrates Ag-coating is promising way to improve lithium-ion batteries
