摘要: Abstract. We investigate the ionospheric behavior in conjugate hemispheres during 3 October 2005 solar eclipse, on basis of observations electron temperature (Te) from Defense Meteorological Satellites Program (DMSP) spacecraft, F2 layer critical frequency (foF2) and peak height (hmF2) at Grahamstown ionosonde station, total content (TEC) Global Positioning System (GPS) station SUTH. The show that when eclipse occurred Northern Hemisphere, there was a decrease Te, an increase foF2 TEC, uprising hmF2 its region compared with their reference values. also simulated ionosphere this using mid- low-latitude model. simulations agree well observations. Because effect, are far fewer photoelectrons travelling along magnetic field lines to region, resulting reduced photoelectron heating hemisphere which causes drop subsequent disturbances region.
