摘要: Abstract Objective This study was set up to review the phytochemistry of Ganoderma applanatum , its potentiality in nanotechological engineering for clinical use as well impact aqueous extracts on laboratoery rats infected with Trypanosoma brucei brucei. Methods Aqueous were obtained using hot sterile distilled water and whatmann filter paper. The presence saponins, alkaloids, tannins, anthraquinones, flavonoids, cardiac glycosides steroids tested standard procedures. Acqueous also inoculated into laboratory along both positive negative controls. Blood samples collected daily, stained Giemsa's stain examined parasites. Results contained detectable levels but undetectable tannins anthraquinone. All died by day 12 from overwhelming trypanosomal infections. Conclusion biochemical constituents species should be subjected nanotechnological order probably discover more wider therapeutic benefits, further disprove suitability or otherwise treatment African sleeping sickness.
