摘要: PURPOSEWe have shown previously that acquired tamoxifen resistance in an vivo experimental model is associated with reduced accumulation, isomerization of trans-4-hydroxytamoxifen, and tamoxifen-stimulated tumor growth. The purpose this study to isolate verify the presence estrogenic metabolites human breast tumors using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) mass-spectrometry (MS) techniques.PATIENTS AND METHODSIn present study, we used HPLC MS identify samples excised from athymic nude mice isolated patients receiving adjuvant therapy.RESULTSWe identified metabolite E, a known tamoxifen, tamoxifen-resistant MCF-7 implanted mice, as well clinical resistance.
