Emission and excitation spectra of the CCN free radical in solid argon

摘要: Abstract We demonstrate that 1216 A photolysis of acetonitrile in rare gas solids leads to efficient production the CCN free radicals. These radicals emit solid Ar with a 170 ns lifetime. Study 2 Δ i → X Π emission spectra provides values 1066 and 1717 cm −1 , respectively, for ground state stretching frequencies. Several weaker vibronic bands are interpreted terms bending fundamentals ν ′ ″ .
