摘要: This study aims to reconstruct the recent dynamics of two bogs located in an agricultural landscape and determine which factors favour tree expansion, most salient change recently reported treeless peatlands. The vegetation hydrological as well land use changes vicinity were reconstructed using a combination paleoecological, paleohydrological, historical approaches. It was hypothesized that upland deforestation indirectly induced atmospheric mineral dust deposition on sites, thus increasing nutrient availability triggering forest expansion. Results indicated widespread, but asynchronous expansion occurred both during 20th century. However, no evidence suggesting enrichment favoured phenomenon found. Forest seems rather have been by drying peat surface, decrease water table depth coincided with beginning encroachment sites. correlated establishment situ artificial drainage ditch one site development catchment other. Local each apparently override regional such climate anomalies or explaining rapid, abrupt bogs.
