摘要: • This is a 2-year, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of 101 patients, evaluating the relative efficacy intermittent medication (given only when patient shows early signs relapse) compared with moderate doses maintenance for stable schizophrenic outpatients. Patients were dropped from if they had three prodromal episodes in 1 year or an episode lasted more than 9 weeks. Fourteen percent patients given treatment 46% intermittently treated patients. Relapse rates 16% and 30% nonsignificant difference. Intermittently receiving significantly less medication, but there no differences found drug side effects. There appears to be advantage using approach, we that use intervention strategy reduced relapse rehospitalization these
