The use of polarized neutrons in determining the magnetic scattering by iron and nickel

摘要: Abstract The polarized neutron-beam technique is discussed and utilized in determining the magnetic scattering by iron nickel. Procedures for obtaining using beams of monochromatic neutrons are outlined, experimental data presented on performance two polarizing crystals, Fe3O4 92 Co-8 Fe alloy. reflectivity different polarization states single crystals nickel has been studied used amplitudes at various angles. Comparison then made between observed form values theoretical derived from calculated 3d wave functions.
