摘要: Abstract p53 is a tumor suppressor, which belongs to the family of proteins. The consists p53, p63 and p73 proteins, share similar structure function. Activation wild-type or TAp73 in tumors leads regression, small molecules restoring pathway are clinical development. Protoporphyrin IX (PpIX), metabolite aminolevulinic acid, clinically approved drug applied photodynamic diagnosis therapy. PpIX induces p53- TAp73-dependent apoptosis inhibits TAp73/MDM2 TAp73/MDM4 interactions. Here we demonstrate that dual inhibitor p53/MDM2 p53/MDM4 interactions activates B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia cells without illumination affecting normal cells. stabilizes p53-downstream apoptotic targets provokes cancer cell death at doses non-toxic Our findings open up new opportunities for repurposing treating lymphoblastic leukaemias with wtTP53.
