摘要: The increased demand for irrigation to boost food supply has placed emphasis on the use of wastewaters. However, indiscriminate wastewaters could impair soil functions and influence other hydrologic processes. objective this study was evaluate hydrophobicity evapotranspiration two indigenous vegetables under wastewater in southwest Nigeria. a factorial experiment, laid out randomized complete block design (RBCD) with three replications. vegetable factor consisted SM - Eggplant (Solanum macrocarpon) CA – Lagos spinach (Celosia angentea), while were abattoir (AW), bathroom laundry (BW) cassava effluent (CE), rainwater (RW) as control. Soil determined before experiment after harvest using water-droplet penetration time (WDPT) method crop water balance technique. Wastewater significantly (p<0.05) influenced hydrophobicity, initially wettable became slightly hydrophobic, highest degree from CE wastewater. both affected, none treatments dominating temporal distribution evapotranspiration. Continuous application increase level repellency, affect dynamics availability. Key words: effluent,
