摘要: The antipyretic effectiveness of Ketoprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, was investigated in pyretic cats with variety bacterial and viral infections. Cats were randomly assigned to receive either broad-spectrum antibiotic or plus ketoprofen. Body temperature monitored 3 times daily, attitude appetite evaluated once daily. treatment groups compared respect mean body temperatures, using one-way analysis variance. Mean temperatures significantly different (P < 0.05) during the 4 8 h post-treatment observations, reduction normal ketoprofen group no change treated antibiotics alone. effect rapid persisted for at least h, but less than 24 h. overall recovery period from pyrexia, depression, inappetance also shorter (3 d) only (5 d). Ketoprofen useful adjunct cats.
