摘要: The size and shape distribution of metal nanoparticles (NPs) are important parameters that need to be tuned in order achieve desired properties materials for practical applications. In the current work, we present synthesis palladium NPs supported on silica by three different methods, applying reduction sodium borohydride, hydrazine vapors, polyethylene glycol (PEG). synthesized were characterized X-ray diffraction, fluorescence, transmission electron microscopy, surface area porosity measurements, thermogravimetric analysis. Similar nanoparticle sizes with narrow centered at 8 nm obtained after borohydride whereas smallest particle about 4.8 was PEG. effect modification initial chloride compound ammonium hydroxide found lead formation larger particles average 15 broader distribution. addition, process PEG stages monitored UV-Vis spectroscopy. CO-stripping voltammetry showed allowed preparation Pd high electrochemically-active area. Such promising electrocatalysis.
