摘要: Numerous causes of peripheral facial nerve paralyses have been described; however, none has satisfactorily explained the genesis most common type paralysis, Bell's palsy. Two patients undergoing an experimental embolization vascular intracranial tumors suffered a total paralysis when occlusion middle meningeal artery had accomplished. It is speculated that this resulted from ischemia horizontal portion nerve, observation not previously described and might be applicable as well to etiology
