摘要: The Wnt signalling system is essential for both the developing and adult central nervous system. It regulates numerous cellular functions ranging from neurogenesis to blood brain barrier biology. Dysregulated can thus have significant consequences normal function, which becoming increasingly clear in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), an age-related neurodegenerative disorder that most prevalent form of dementia. AD exhibits a range pathophysiological manifestations including aberrant amyloid precursor protein processing, tau pathology, synapse loss, neuroinflammation breakdown, been associated greater or lesser degree with abnormal signalling. Here we provide comprehensive overview role CNS, research implicates dysregulated ageing pathogenesis. We also discuss opportunities therapeutic intervention via modulation pathway, highlight some challenges gaps our current understanding need be met enable goal.
