摘要: We present an SNR-scalable extension of the H.264/AVC video coding standard. To achieve efficient bit-stream representation a sequence, temporal dependencies between pictures are exploited by using open-loop subband approach. The related analysis-synthesis filter bank structure is generalized to facilitate adaptive block-based choice motion-compensated lifting representations Haar (uni-directional prediction) and 5/3 (bi-directional prediction), both coupled with multiple-reference frame capabilities. As remarkable feature our approach, most components used as specified in standard, while only few have been adjusted filtering structure. Our proposed was tested for set CIF sequences, results indicate that efficiency comparable state-of-the-art standard can be achieved.
