摘要: The yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae contains two functional homologues of the ras oncogene family, RAS1 and RAS2. These genes are required for growth, all evidence indicates that this essential function is activation adenylate cyclase. In contrast, in mammalian cells does not appear to influence cyclase activity. To clarify relation between higher eukaryotes, role played by RAS growth control, it necessary identify functions acting upstream pathway. presented here CDC25, identified conditional cell cycle arrest mutations, encodes such an function.
