摘要: This study evaluated load transfer characteristics of femoral and tibial components a total knee prosthesis that was designed to achieve distal proximal compressive load-bearing. Strain gauge readings were highest on the cortex metaphyseal flare. Roentgenograms 110 patients with noncemented arthroplasty (TKA) follow-up periods 12-24 months evaluated. Cancellous bone hypertrophy bridging from undersurface component cortical noted all roentgenograms at six months, suggesting stress through cancellous this area. Anterolateral sinking in first 46 but not seen again series after design change made more rigidly fix stem upper tibia. demonstrated bearing. None migrated or sank.
