摘要: Detection and characterization of novel viruses is hampered frequently by the lack properly stored materials. Especially for retrospective identification responsible past disease outbreaks, often only formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples are available. Although FFPE tissues can be used to detect known viral sequences, application detection currently unclear. In present study it was shown that sequence-independent amplification in combination with next-generation sequencing sequences unknown viruses, although relatively low sensitivity. These findings indicate this technique could useful detecting collected from humans animals origin, when other not addition, method allows correlate presence histopathological changes corresponding sections.
