摘要: Nano-composites of quantum dots (QDs) and gold nanorods (GNRs) or silica-coated GNRs (GNRs_SiO2) were synthesized. The attached modify the excitation intensity spontaneous emission QDs through surface plasmonic effects. fluorescence from is enhanced can be optimized by modifying thickness silica coated on GNRs, under both one- two-photon excitations. measurements lifetime demonstrate that enhancement may attributed to matching localized plasmon resonance GNR wavelength. In addition enhancing QD-fluorescence in QD-GNR@SiO2, also present as an effective contrast agent for bio-imaging, light scattering emission, well photo-thermal therapy. composite's multifunctional characteristics are highly valuable exploited bio-applications.
