摘要: Aim To asses smoking cessation counselling practices (SCC) among health care providers dealing with cancer patients. Method A cross-sectional design was used a sample of 300 from three hospitals in Jordan. self-report questionnaire distributed. Results During the initial visit, most frequent were asking patients if they smoke and advise smokers to quit (50%, 45% respectively). Only 13% reported treating or referring for use intervention. follow-up visits, practice reinforcing stopping tobacco 39%. Overall, physicians had highest scores adherence applying SCC practices. Besides, over 85% participants believe that should be standard part interventions clinicians need more training. Over 80% agreed barriers implementing include lack training resources.
